How the record was built

Each entry was drafted from primary documents and named reporting, then checked by independent reviewers who had not written it. Reviewers re-verified quotations word for word, dates, vote counts, dollar figures and the current status of every pending matter as of October 15, 2026. Entries covering 2015 to 2023 were added for this edition and went through the same review.

Corrections made before publication

Independent review found errors in earlier drafts. They are listed here because a reference work that hides its corrections cannot be trusted.

  1. Jerome Powell: an earlier draft quoted “Total and Complete Moron,” which could not be found in any source. Replaced with the verified “numbskull” and “moron” (June 20, 2025).
  2. Marjorie Taylor Greene: an earlier draft combined separate insults into one phrase. Replaced with the verified wording from November 15, 2025.
  3. September 8, 2026 posts: an earlier draft included “Sleepy Joe Biden,” which does not appear in those posts. Removed.
  4. Kamala Harris remark: date and place corrected to October 19, 2024, Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
  5. Nancy Pelosi remark: date corrected to the night of November 4–5, 2024.
  6. Jimmy Kimmel: date corrected to September 17, 2025, with his exact post.
  7. Mary Bruce: “terrible person” could not be confirmed and was removed.
  8. Lisa Cook: the Supreme Court’s June 29, 2026 action was an emergency order keeping her in office, not a final decision. Wording corrected.
  9. Iran: an earlier draft implied the April 2026 ceasefire held. It did not; there is no ceasefire as of October 11, 2026. U.S. military deaths revised to about 19 to 20 plus one contractor.
  10. Deportations: ICE removals in fiscal 2025 (442,637) already set an agency record. The promise rating changed from “not yet” to “partly kept.”
  11. Inflation updated to the September 2026 release issued October 15, 2026.
  12. Tax law distribution: replaced estimates for the House bill with CBO figures for the enacted law.
  13. Comey and James: added Comey’s April 2026 re-indictment and grand juries’ refusal to re-indict James.
  14. COVID: the disinfectant remark was made at a press briefing, not in a Woodward recording. Separated.
  15. Boat strikes and Gaza figures updated to October 2026 tallies.
  16. Posts by other users that he reposted are now labeled as reposts.
  17. AP restrictions: the appeals court allowed limits only in certain spaces. Wording corrected.
  18. January 6 civil suits: a detail about the Georgia call could not be verified and was removed; no trial is expected before 2028.
  19. Migrant deaths: a 2024 comparison figure could not be verified and was removed.

Corrections to the entries added for this edition

The entries covering 2015 to 2023 were checked by reviewers who had not drafted them. These substantive errors were found and fixed before publication.

  1. Pardons for the 2020 election effort (R-35): added that the proclamation also covers all U.S. citizens for the same conduct and excludes him.
  2. FBI reviews (R-37): removed “I WAS FRAMED,” which came from supporters’ fundraising emails, not from him.
  3. Texas v. Pennsylvania (R-46): backers corrected to 126 House Republicans and 18 Republican state attorneys general.
  4. Separated children (H-29): the 391 unresolved cases are children whose parents were not found, not 391 parents; settlement terms stated accurately.
  5. Travel ban families (H-32): the 6 percent waiver figure attributed to Sen. Chris Van Hollen, its source.
  6. Farmers in the first trade war (H-35): a senator’s characterization had been presented as GAO’s finding; replaced with GAO’s own findings.
  7. Inspectors general (H-37): three were acting inspectors general; his remarks quoted exactly.
  8. Tax Policy Center analysis: tax cuts as a share of income peaked for the 95th to 99th percentiles, not the top 1 percent.
  9. Trade deficits: replaced a derived 2016 figure and first-reported 2019 and 2020 figures with the Census Bureau’s revised series.
  10. Hurricane Maria: the official count of 64 stood until August 2018, when Puerto Rico adopted the 2,975 estimate.
  11. Operation Warp Speed: funding reached about $18 billion by October 2020; it did not start at that level.
  12. Switch Test card W-13: removed a quotation that could not be found in the cited source.
  13. Deportations (P-27): the 749,500 removals were by ICE and Border Patrol together; an unsourced comparison was removed.
  14. DACA (P-28): enrollment corrected to about 650,000.
  15. Travel ban (P-29): the Supreme Court let parts of the second version take effect in June 2017; it was not fully blocked.
  16. National debt (P-34): removed an unsourced interview date and figure.
  17. Coal jobs (P-36): compared like with like, using unadjusted figures for both dates.
  18. Clinton prosecution (P-50): quotation corrected to the source wording.
  19. Khan family (Q-34): removed words that could not be found in any source.
  20. “Shithole countries” (Q-43): labeled as reported by Sen. Dick Durbin, with the differing accounts and his denial; his later recorded remark dated and placed exactly.

What this book does not claim

  • It is not complete. It is a verified selection. Omission of an item is not a judgment that it did not happen.
  • It does not diagnose. It does not speculate about anyone’s mental or physical health.
  • It does not present projections as counts. Every estimate and projection is labeled.
  • It does not treat allegations as findings. Grade E entries are allegations only.
  • It does not replace the sources. Read them. Where a source and this book disagree, the source governs.

Verification statement

This is a reference compilation of public records and published reporting, current as of October 15, 2026. Allegations are labeled as allegations. Pending matters are labeled as pending. Nothing here asserts as fact anything that a court, an official body, a recorded statement or named reporting has not established.
